Three times in a year, for one month, the DOM takes place in Hamburg. The name of that luna-park comes from medevial times, when little sheds, where you could buy sweets and gifts, were located around the main church, the dome. Photographically the DOM has been always a photographic playground for me, especially, when they were going to build it up or deconstruct it – or on mondays, when it is closed. The fairground is trivial and pop-art at the same time, the colours come best in black and white !
