The idea for some images were already sketched in 1973, when I was doing photo-montages in my darkroom. But at that time I didn’t own a camera with a wide-angle lens. So I had to wait some years, before I could take the picture, I had in mind. Instead of working in the dark, I wanted to do my „montages“ in front of the camera. To emphasize my intentions, I printed the negatives full frame with the black border of the negative.
Heidegger traces back the German word „Handlung“ (handling) to „Hand“ (hand). My series is about the relation of man’s hand and the world.
